Babies change so much over the course of their first year; from a tiny newborn to a teetering twelve month old, it’s hard to believe how little time actually passed!
If you feel like the days are slipping by, milestone sessions are the perfect way to document your baby.
When the stroller gives way to a scooter, the pacifier now old news, and the favorite toy forgotten, all that remains are portraits of your baby and their first year. I want nothing more than for you to look back at these portraits and celebrate your baby’s first year of life.
Milestone sessions are named for the milestones that babies reach throughout their first year; tummy time at three months, sitting up at six months, crawling at nine months, and standing (or walking!) at one year. However, milestone sessions can take place at any age!

Planning your Milestone Session
Most parents choose “sitter sessions” (around six months) and first birthday sessions, but any age in between is welcome!
Because I love photographing parents with their children, you are always welcome to step in the frame with your little one and it’s the perfect time for an updated family portrait.
Milestone sessions take place in my natural light Philadelphia portrait studio and focus on what you love best about your little one: chubby feet, a toothless grin, soft peaks of hair falling across her forehead…all the best parts of your baby.

What to Expect
I take great pride in offering a seamless client experience which includes carefully planned & curated sessions for every family.
All Philadelphia milestone photography sessions include a phone consultation to discuss your vision and ideas for the session, and access to the Client Closet with personalized styling for your family. Hair and makeup services are offered to clients to ensure that you feel your best for your session.
I provide all the blankets, diaper covers, wraps, and bonnets for milestone sessions. With hundreds of options for little ones, there’s no need to worry about what baby will wear for their session.
Milestone sessions typically take place at my 1400 sf, natural-light photography studio in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Due to the soft light and open, safe space (no rocks or grass to stick in their mouths!), it’s the perfect spot for a milestone session.
Once your gallery is complete, you’ll be able to choose your images and artwork, and I’ll be there every step of the way to help you decide on the perfect portraits for your home.

The First Year Collective
You’ve heard it before - babies don’t keep.
The first year of your baby’s life goes incredibly quickly; one day they’re just learning to roll over, and suddenly they’re taking their first steps. The First Year Collective allows families to document baby’s milestones throughout the first year, from sitting to walking.
First Year Collective members are able to reserve 3 or 4 sessions throughout their baby’s first year to celebrate all of the milestones as they grow. While sessions can be customized, most families choose maternity, newborn, 6 month, and 12 month sessions.
Along with priority scheduling, artwork credit, and complimentary birth announcements, families complete their Collective Membership with a beautiful album celebrating their baby’s first year!

Can a cake smash be included during a milestone session?
Of course! A cake smash is a great way to round out a milestone session; Veronika has a variety of simple cake stands and an antique high chair that can be used for cake smash sessions.
Are family portraits included for Philadelphia Photography Studio milestone sessions?
Of course! Children and parents (pets, too!) are always welcome to join in your session.
