Would you believe me if I told you that the day of Rachel’s session was freezing? Like, literally? It’s hard to tell from the sun and grasses but between shots, we were bundled in coats. Worth it, if you ask me!
Rachel chose to book a maternity & newborn session, which is such a good idea for a few reasons. First, it gives you the chance to meet your photographer before your newborn session – a time where you’ll be experiencing a huge life change and really need to make sure that you trust the person who will be handling your new baby. Secondly, being able to preserve the (don’t laugh) short nine months that you’re pregnant with your little one is so important. I feel like maternity photography is one of those things that may not show it’s value until you’re years down the road, celebrating your now 10-year-old’s birthday or signing off on that driving permit. I’ve mentioned it before but I don’t have any professional pictures of me pregnant with either child of mine – just a few iPhone photos – and it’s something that I really regret and can’t get back. I’m so happy that I have the photographs I have, but I wish I had a maternity session done as well.

The studio wardrobe is available to all clients, with over 90 dresses for mamas – including the one above! – and outfits for children and babies. Hair and makeup are also available for clients at my Mainline photography studio space so that you’re ready for your newborn session.
