Elizabeth first reached out to me about a portrait session for her boys two years ago, so to say this session was years in the making is zero exaggeration!
There are so many beautiful locations for family portraits in the Philadelphia and Main Line area, and we definitely had our pick of the bunch as we decided on where to photograph their family’s session. I decided on a serene private farm, Life’s Patina at Willowgrove Farm, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Check out that visitor we had – he (she?) was practically begging for us to come over and pet him.
Elizabeth and the kids were styled from my studio wardrobe. I chose a simple, more casual look for this family – can’t get enough of those bare feet! – with linen shorts, a pale pink striped romper, and delicate floral dress. All the better for little ones to climb around.
It’s tempting to schedule your family session for the fall, but I truly believe that summer is the perfect time for family photography. Colorful fall leaves last only a fleeting few days, and chilly red noses are never a good look! Not only does summer have the softest, most gentle light, but the warmth is much easier for little ones.
Unsure of what to wear for your session? I’ve got you covered! The studio wardrobe is available to all clients, with over 90 dresses for mothers and outfits for children and babies, up to size 8. Hair and makeup are also available for clients at my Mainline family photography studio space so that you’re ready for your family session.
