Cape May is a special place. Each New Jersey shore town has its own vibe, its own special, unique characteristics that keep you coming back year after year.
My family didn’t spend time at the Jersey shore growing up; I remember a handful of times that we went for a day trip, but that’s about it (despite being about an hour away!). When Bryan and I first got married, we spent our first anniversary – ten years ago – in Cape May (at Captain Mey’s Inn) and I was hooked. It’s a blend of Victorian beach town + nature sanctuary + shopping haven. The tree lined streets are dotted with candy-colored homes with gingerbread trim and lush landscaping. If you haven’t been, it’s really worth a trip!
I’ve had the honor of photographing Jette and the Mullen family – who also vacations in Cape May! – over nine months, documenting Jette’s growth over her first year. Being able to photograph them on the gorgeous St. Pete’s beach in Cape May Point was a treat; I love her little feet delicately dipping into the water and her tiny curls blowing in the wind. Cape May family photography might be my favorite way to spend the summer evenings!

Hair and makeup are also available for clients at my Main Line photography studio space so that you’re ready for your newborn session.
