I have this thing with newborn sessions.
There’s generally a portrait that sticks in my brain from each session – one that makes it as the cover of the gallery or is the first image I think of when I think of your family.
When families bring me their second baby, I love to recreate that image with their second (or third!) child.
For this family, Jenna in the window is the image for me. When we photographed Jordan’s newborn session, I knew I had to use that window as a backdrop for their portraits. Those portraits of Jordan, Jenna, and Jesse ended up being my favorites from the session. Once Jones made his arrival and I started to plan out their newborn session, that window was in the forefront of my mind. With one more kiddo to hold, we did need to branch out into the hallway with those deep windowsills, but I absolutely had to photograph Jenna and Jones together in that same window from Jordan’s newborn session.
