Addie’s session took place on Halloween – which you might remember as the day everyone freaked out because of the torrential downpour. You’d never know that the skies outside were dark! And by dark I mean almost twilight-ish. As a mainline newborn photographer, the first thing I stress to clients about their in-home session (if that’s what they prefer over a studio session) is the importance of light. If you’ve found my work, you’re probably looking for a natural light photographer with a light, true-to-color look. Light is the key to this!
By opening all the blinds, using white bedding, and even shooting in a somewhat unconventional (but honestly…maybe one of my favorites spots in the house) – the kitchen! – we still got that beautiful, bright look. And can’t beat this gorgeous white Fillyboo dress, a client favorite!
Unsure of what to wear for your session? I’ve got you covered! The studio wardrobe is available to all clients, with over 80 dresses for mamas – including the one above! – and outfits for children and babies. Hair and makeup are also available for clients at my Mainline photography studio space so that you’re ready for your newborn session.
